"House of Wax" Review

No, this is not the crummy Paris Hilton remake. This is the classic one from 1953. I love waxworks so this movie grabbed my attention. Poor Vincent Price. He is left to burn to death along with his paraffin people by a business partner intent on collecting on the insurance. He resurfaces a few years later, badly disfigured and intent on reopening his wax museum. Bodies go missing fom the morgue. One of the museum's visitors sees a Joan of Arc figure that has a face just like that of her murdered friend. From there the plot thickens. I only had one problem: how could the wax face that covered Price's disfigurment move lke a real face? He was a master sculptor but really! Oh well. They can't all be perfect. Now I want to go to Louis Tussaud's in Grand Prairie again.
