"Glen or Glenda" and "The Tingler" Reviews

Glen or Glenda?

This is the first movie Ed Wood ever made and it shows. It is about a transvestite who must decide whether or not to tell his fiancee about his secret love of women's wear. Smack dab in the middle of this film is the strangest dream sequence you will ever see in your life. Is there a word stronger than weird? If there is even that doesn't begin to describe it! Its on Youtube.com if you want to see Glen or Glenda? or any other Ed Wood film because they are all public domain. I also higly recomend Tim Burton's 1994 biopic Ed Wood, its awesome!

Bubbles: O O O (3) solely because it was so bad it was good.

The Tingler

Horror master Vincent Price stars in this badly made film. When originally shown in theatres, a vibrating divice was installed in some seats and the ads proclaimed the film was shown in "percepto". Somehow the tactic doesn't hold up in the comfort of your own home. The film would have us believe that fear is a parasite living in our spines that will become enormous and kill us if we do not scream. The "tingler", as it is called, looks like a mutant earwig being pulled by wires. Oh, and did I mention that Vincent Price shoots LSD in this film? Yep, he does! Its pretty funny. This film is featured in a book on the Razzie Awards, the antithesis to the Oscars. Films like this make for great late night viewing.

Bubbles: O O O (3) Same reason as above.

Peace,
Amanda
